Pastor's Vision

Reverend Dr. John Edward Douglas has been serving as the Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in North Hills, Pennsylvania, since 1994.As Pastor, he has been the pivotal force behind the birth of various ministries, including the Scholarship ministry, the Prisons ministry, the Hospitality ministry, Praise & Worship ministry, Youth ministry, and the Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study, just to name a few. Under his leadership the Youth choir was re-activated as well as the Male chorus.

Rev. Dr. Douglas is a Pastor/Teacher. He teaches Wednesday Night Bible study and He has been called upon to lead Workshops, and Seminars. He has also preached at churches across the nation, including California, Louisianan, Mississippi, Texas and Israel. He received his Doctorate in Theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary, Slidell, and Louisiana.

Rev. Dr. Douglas is a past Moderator of the Suburban Baptist Association. He is a member of the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Philadelphia & Vicinity, the Black Clergy of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention, and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. In addition, heists on the Martin Luther King Advisory Committee at Abington Memorial Hospital, and Montgomery County Housing Authority Board of Directors.

Rev. Dr. Douglas is faithful to his calling. Whatever he does, he does well. He can always be seen attending Sunday school and Prayer Meeting.

His motto is: Responsibility & Accountability.

His favorite Scripture is: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint” Isaiah 40:31.

 Man send from God, Rev. Dr. Douglas is a friend to many. He loves his church family and is proud ofTheir Spiritual growth. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Diane. A loving father, to his daughter Camille and son, Rev. Dorien Stevenson, Sr. and he is a wonderful “Pop-Pop” to his grandsons, Dorien, Jr., Devon, and Drew.
